When Starbucks baristas formed a union, they created a democracy in their workplace. The company has been trying to bust that democracy. Don’t let them.

Stand up for democracy. Boycott Starbucks until the strikers tell us otherwise.

Don’t cross picket lines. Don’t buy Starbucks.

On this day in labor history, we are going way, way, way back. The year was 1170 B.C. So the exact date is a bit of an estimate. Egyptian workers initiated what just might be the first recorded strike in world history. The workers were toiling on public works projects, including building tombs of the pharaohs, in the Valley of the Kings.

Walmart said their “cheaper” Thanksgiving basket proves prices are down. What they didn’t say is that it has fewer items & cheaper substitutes.

Thanksgiving dinner is up 10% this year and some staples are up nearly 60%!

It’s time to close the gender pay gap once and for all.

A union contract is how we start to balance the scales and make sure women — and all workers — get the equal pay, dignity and respect they deserve.
The pay gap hasn’t grown like this since the ’60s. One group is holding the line: women in unions. Take a deeper look: www.afscme.org/blog/unions-...

When our starting pay is this low and our scheduled hours don’t qualify us for benefits, the numbers just don’t add up. Starbucks has a higher CEO-to-worker pay gap than ANY business in the S&P 500. It would cost them less than a single day’s sales to finalize a fair contract!

Defense is now questioning Lairmore on cross-examination. They show a video still of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground, post-throw.

"Do you recognize that sandwich?" the attorney asks.

Lairmore won't confirm.

"I did not go back to collect it," he says.

What's REALLY scary?

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol has the highest CEO-to-worker pay gap in all of the S&P 500... meanwhile, stores are understaffed and the company won't finalize union contracts.

Burbank, CA is rallying out here to say BOO to that! They're ready to strike if necessary!
