Flavor Text: Wherever she goes, the queen hunts the same: her powerful legs trap her prey, and one strike from her tail kills it. Rathian (Monster Hunter), a green scaled flying wyvern, with its tail held high, turning to face the viewer as it charges a fiery blast from its mouth. Debuting in the very first Monster Hunter game, Rathian are the female version of the Rathalos species of monster. The biggest distinction between the two is that the Rathians have poisonous barbs on their tails, as well as primarily hunting on the ground, compared to the Rathalos’ poisonous talons and penchant for aerial attacks. Like the Rathalos, it is also capable of shooting fire blasts from its mouth. The flavor text makes note of its powerful legs, something that nearly all Monster Hunter games make note of in its in-game descriptions.
