She was so well spoken. It's heartbreaking because WE ALL feel that same way...we realize that we are on our own & we need to be there for eachother, but our country has let us down & despite that we are still trying to keep it alive until SOMEONE steps in & takes it away from the hands of monsters

His hands were on the pavement when he was shot.
He never had his hand on a weapon.

Kirby vs. Duva (from 2008) was a court case that set the precedent that an officer cannot use self-defense as a justification for lethal force when they unreasonably place themselves in harm’s way. Nor is it legal for an officer to shoot a fleeing vehicle for the sole purpose of stopping it.

Look, I do think it's up to private employers to make decisions about whether an employee's public remarks crossed some sort of line. But when government officials are openly cheerleading and pressuring for such firings, that crosses an even more serious line.
