It's also worth pointing out that Mint has Flathub in its software manager, and uses handy little icons to distinguish between system packages and Flatpaks.
Remember, fellow Linux noobs. Flatpak is your friend.

i spend 90% of my time doing an empty low-paying job that doesn't matter.
