It’s not just the District that Congress will be hurting if they pass this CR & DC budget cut. It’s the entire DMV region, it’s every worker who make transit run, it’s every visitor from around America coming to visit DC and can’t get around. $200M cut to Metro: www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/t...

My heart breaks for 67 people killed in yesterday’s plane cranes. Statistically, 78 people were also killed in traffic crashes today, yesterday, the day before that and likely tomorrow and every day going forward unless something changes.

My thoughts are with Darrick Ward’s family and friends. I was interviewed by Darrick numerous times over the years. He was a dedicated, kind, fair, and professional journalist. www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/d...

This is great news! NYC is in great hands. Congrats @bfurnas.bsky.social!
Incredibly excited and honored to join the amazing team at Transportation Alternatives!

The greatest city in the world should have the greatest streets in the world and New Yorkers deserve safe and convenient ways to get around.

Can’t wait to get to work!
We're so excited to announce that TA is welcoming its next executive director: Ben Furnas!

This my semi-annual resounding endorsement for the Nat’l Museum of Play in Rochester, NY. It’s the best children’s museum with days of things to explore. There are three arcades, a Wegmans grocery store, Sesame Street and much more. It’s worth the trip to Upstate NY on its own.

NPS is accepting comments on the Mount Vernon Trail and GW Parkway EA. I hope people will ask NPS to plan for a trail connection from the MVT to the Roosevelt Bridge. DDOT is building a widened path on the downstream side of the bridge that needs a VA connection. cc: @juddlumberjack.bsky.social
