my university has something called the “Caterpocalypse” which is when hundreds upon thousands of caterpillars ascend from the pits of hell and cover everything. You cannot sit anywhere without a caterpillar touching you. Worst part? They can sting you.

I see people musing that the vibe here has changed, and I would urge people to remember that there's a lot of anxiety about the change of administration in two weeks and that's going to leak into a lot of other places in one's life. Be as gracious as you can with yourself and others.

They run them bc people react to them the most.
If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.
