Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley | Researching mental health inequities in minoritized groups, risk and resilience, culturally robust mental health services, and digital mental health treatments
Last week, I had the pleasure of giving a talk at CUNY. I had a blast and enjoyed the questions from students a lot 🤓

What is the state of the evidence for digital interventions for depression? Where can you find the "right" one? What are the areas of improvement in this field?

This was a great collaboration with Eirini Karyotaki, David Mohr, and Stephen Schueller!

Just thinking: I am a double-boarded physician-scientist at @uclahealth.org, but I grew up in poverty. Gov't provided the welfare & foodstamps that aided my refugee family. Gov't grants subsidized my education.

I am only where I am today bc of the #America that was. And it makes me want to cry.

I'm happy to now be able to share a talk I gave at TEDx New England last Fall!

The talk is about our lab's work on what makes decisions costly, and how to make them less so.

I discuss lessons for all kinds of decisions, including getting people to vote.
