Watching #NextGenChef on Netflix and I'm so confused how recent alum of the Culinary Institute of America are competing in a competition at the Culinary Institute of America. Do they not have a massive advantage? Admittedly I'm only about 15 minutes in.

So, after a 5-round application / interview process, I've just found out they won't be taking me forward. Fair enough.
But I'm flummoxed by the reasoning of "we believe this specific role requires a higher degree of anticipatory ownership — spotting and preventing challenges before they arise."

So, 2025 has been pretty shit. My 9 year relationship almost ended, we lost our business and remain unemployed, and Klaus had a rare tumour in his blood vessels that the vets cannot fix.
Having already spent a lot of money - that we don't have - we are now looking at a 3rd operation.
