📈What is the impact on the local economy – and ultimately on society – of the tens of thousands of Russian migrants who came to 🇬🇪 #Georgia after the full-scale invasion of #Ukraine?

🇬🇪Georgian Dream is Europe’s most un-democratic and human rights-violating force currently in power.
Today, they announced new amendments to the "Law on Grants" that criminalize receiving foreign support, restrict political participation, and outlaw core democratic activity

You can tell who is a true Boss from his/her deeds 👏👏
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

🏴: 'Migrants steal our jobs'
🇪🇸 Left govt. grants legal status to 500K irregular migrants: 'Economic growth drives the labour market. A large part of this acceleration is due to migration: foreign workers accounted for 43% of the 605K jobs created in #Spain in 2025.'

Más empleo, más cotizaciones y más ingresos: la regularización de migrantes como motor económico
La afloración de empleo y una reducción de la economía sumergida son los efectos más visibles de la medida, apuntan los expertos.

Georgian Dream has announced new amendments to the Russian-style laws on foreign grants and so-called “foreign agents.” What they’ve presented goes beyond legal absurdity, so I’m trying to fully understand it before reporting in detail. But it doesn’t look good at all.

🇬🇪 #Georgia's pro-Russia govt. goes deeper into its role model:
Georgian Dream is tightening the grants law again: any transfer of money from one person to another, if it is “used to influence the government or society”, will be considered a grant and will require Georgian Dream’s permission.

A journey into one of the many suburbs of "soo romantic Paris" that people – including Parisians and sometimes the very people who live there – never get to know, by my great colleague Francesca.
#Gentrification or urban renewal?
Bordering #Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis is the poorest and youngest district in metropolitan France, and distills many of the problems and paradoxes that tend to characterise the “banlieues.”

#Belarus Prominent journalist, poet and political prisoner Andrei Aliaksandrau marks his 6th birthday behind bars. Outrageously unfair - he was sentenced to 14 years just for being a journalist. Free press and free speech are what Lukashenka truly fears.

Rather proud of publishing this investigation. After reading it, you will not look at your "100% made of recycled plastic" food packages the same way:
🕵️‍♂️ A new massive investigation on #greenwashing is out!

🛢️Oil giant Saudi Aramco supplies plastic largely made out of crude oil and labelled as “recycled” to major consumer brands touting green claims to shoppers – with EU blessing.

And the worst part of this – besides the Ukrainian people's suffering – is that Kyiv has to refrain from retaliating, as Moscow and possibly Washington would blame Ukraine for "not wanting peace" and sabotaging peace talks…😡
Russia launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine so far this year overnight, killing civilians and plunging much of the country into darkness — just hours after Ukrainian, Russian and U.S. officials held trilateral peace talks in Abu Dhabi.
Russia unleashes ‘brutal’ strike on Ukraine as peace talks continue
The overnight barrage killed civilians and knocked out power across much of the country. Trilateral negotiations are taking place in Abu Dhabi.

⬜ 🟥 ⬜ A must-read if you want to understand the current situation in #Belarus. People are facing unprecedented repression – though we're still not a the level of 1937 under Stalin. Don't be lured by some occasional release of political prisoners: there are still more getting in than out.
🇧🇾 5 1/2y after #belarus stolen election, repression has hardened into state terror: mass arrests, silenced media, deportations and political bargaining.
