#Belarus jails another couple for politics. Stanislau Machalau received 4 years; Sviatlana Yakubovich - 5 years. He had already served 3 years as a political prisoner and was re-arrested a year later under new charges.

The regime never lets activists go.

On this day in 1991 🇺🇦 #Ukraine voted for its independence from the Soviet Union. Voters in all of the country's regions, including the illegally annexed by Russia ones of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Crimea voted "yes" with a clear majority.
