" #MarkCarney 's policies haven't a prayer of offsetting the emissions locked in by new pipelines, gas plants, decades long #BigOil infrastructure bets & #CarbonCapture boondoggles. In effect, Canada is borrowing a page from America under Trump by subsidizing its own delay. It's the wrong direction"
Are we really MOVING BACKWARDS on #ClimateChange in Canada in spite of the hottest years on record & the worst #WILDFIRES and #SMOKE we've ever seen? We dig in with #CAPE & the Hub's own Dr Joe Vipond & #CANRAC 's Caroline Brouillette

2025 has been yet another year marked by some serious climate emergencies worldwide. It was not surprising when the UN declared 2025 the third-hottest year on record in 176 years of record-keeping.

The 2021 #BCFloods showed us the cost of delay, but four years later we are still unprepared. "By leaving the [BC flood strategy] unfunded, the province is forcing local governments to compete for scraps through a broken system," writes Lina Azeez @watershedwatchbc.bsky.social. #bcpoli
Opinion: Do we need another billion-dollar flood before B.C. acts?
Flood strategy to help communities prepare for climate disasters has no funding and municipalities don't have tax base to pay for upgrades.

My position is clear: I am unequivocally opposed to any new fossil fuel development — including LNG.

We must have the courage to say this to every government, of any stripe: if you’re building new pipelines or fossil infrastructure, this shall not pass.

And while they pour money into protecting their image, we’re landed with the climate bill. See through the spin. Demand real action ✊⁣

China's electrification transition is dramatic, and leaving us in the dust.

So much for LNG-powered trucks! China and soon India are leapfrogging to the new. And our leaders pushing LNG and retreating on ZEVs look sad & vision-less in comparison.

China's diesel trucks shift to electric. This could change global LNG and diesel demand.
China is replacing its diesel trucks with electric models faster than expected, potentially reshaping global fuel demand and the future of heavy transport.
