You want to make a good Metroid game? Here's what i think it takes:
The player should be dropped into a world that is terrifying, beautiful, and alien. Exploration should unravel new and interesting areas each with their own personality, a perfect example of this would be Scavengers Reign...

Dragon Quest is so got damn good. I literally installed the game and fired it up and the trumpets hit on that title screen and it was like the Beatles just hit the stage lol I had to fan myself so I wouldn't faint 😂

I feel like traditional companies are helping create the next wave of popular apps and services by ruining everything that currently exists. Will be interesting to see the next few years in technology def

Well I guess it's time to start getting rid of Google apps. Proton is probably a good choice, might have to look into that
Google is hosting a CBP app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants, while removing apps that report the location of ICE officials because Google sees ICE as a vulnerable group. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

Well I guess it's time to start getting rid of Google apps. Proton is probably a good choice, might have to look into that
Steam Machine. Do you need a box that plays games? Not that box. Not that one either. A different one. This one's smaller and isn't on Windows. You probably can't upgrade it, no. Modern games will probably look ok, nothing breathtaking. This is for people who don't have Steam? But heard about it? 🤷♂️

Rolled credits on Outer Worlds 2, I gotta say it has a lot of poor fundamentals, but ultimately is a lot of fun and I don't regret a minute of it. I hope the right lessons are learned from this and the 3rd one knocks it out of the park!

The Outer Worlds 2 skill check system is not great. Having a hard number you have to hit to pass and is otherwise a fail ensures annoyance if you have been putting a reasonable amount of points into something

I think the biggest lesson modern gaming has taught me is that I don't need to read the entire planet's reviews of something. People think they can be critics, but it actually takes talent to consistently and accurately critique a game. The slop you read on Steam is embarrassing.
