The player should unravel the story of the planet through exploratory gameplay. Ruins/remnants of civilization hold useful items and slowly reveal the story, villain, and stakes. Completing the game should feel like a relief, like escaping a trap.

This is how I feel about Magic Arena, I only go on to play like 3 garbage games of Magic and get my gold coins for the day

Consoles were made as a vehicle to sell games in an era when people didn't have cell phones, chrome books, tablets, and 100 other devices that can at this point run 75% of existing games. Exclusivity is lonnng gone. Console relevance has never been lower. Perfect timing Valve lol

I'm baffled that "we can't figure out how to write a new Bond" is even a story. There's no professional writer in the world that can't come up with five extremely plausible ways to bring him back, I suspect this is some goofy executive trying to figure out how writing works

There is often a gap between new devs who are too good for beginner tutorials, but not quite good enough to develop something on their own. I find Game Jams fill this gap beautifully, small projects you can do frequently help build the stamina you need to tackle a big project
