Inverclyde Council are looking at a new Active Travel Strategy. There’s been progress since their 2018 ATS (especially on coastal routes). But what are barriers to walking, wheeling or cycling for short trips and which routes should be prioritised?

Cities like Paris and London are becoming cycling cities, where bikes outnumber cars. It's the future - it moves more people, more cheaply, using less energy. It creates better health and better local economies. Cities like Glasgow have to keep up if we want to prosper.

The incredible finding that 13% of trips on Victoria Road are now by bike proves that huge demand for cycling is supressed only by our dangerous roads. If @GlasgowCC and @AngusCMillar build the full network they've promised, Glasgow will become a city of mass cycling.
