Quick Project Outsider Ex update. I finally finished porting the 108 moveset/stat/logic sets from the last Project Outsider release. I have to set a bunch of more stuff, but that'll be a lot easier. My goal is by the end of the month, but I really want to release it by next weekend.

One thing I really like about the Metroidvanias is how they expanded this design into the full castle map. Like you go into an area, see the clock gears or waterways and realize where you would be in the original game.
The full map to the original Castlevania. This is a brilliant map. Despite seeing a map in between stages, you don't really think about how it all connects, but the flow lines up almost perfectly making one cohesive castle.

Looking back at those episodes, I realize that my favorite era wasn't the Attitude era, but the window in 1996/7 between the New Generation and Attitude when WWF was just experimenting with edginess instead of going overboard...
I watched the first episode of RAW from 2000 last night. There was a random cage match between Jeff Hardy and Al Snow. Terri was in the ring and just cowering there for like ten minutes. HHH won the title from Big Show and it had his racist Asian doctor skit. I hate the Attitude Era. Fuck Triple H.

I want to take a moment to honor the late Jerry Lawson, the Electronic Engineer who led the design of the 'Fairchild Channel F' console and also designed the FIRST interchangeable game (ROM) cartridges.
The game industry wouldn't be what it is today without Jerry's brilliance. (cont..)

Especially when Dick Slender goes on a rampage and starts killing dudes.
Nostalgia for when they'd put the big X over most of the screen when this used to happen back in the 80s, which probably made it look worse than someone bleeding.
