This was a public health policy choice. Sacrificing children on the altar of anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, and pro-infection Hybrid Immunity™️ and immunity debt pushers.

A pox on all your houses.

Truly wonderful and provocative interview this - stay to the end for an argument about the ways that ecological disasters in the twenty-first century may play the same role that proletarianisation played in the nineteenth - allowing us to "organise across difference" in conditions of emergency.

The inbound flight is delayed due to weather but outbound it is delayed because of mechanical issues hmmm. Last week the excuse was the plane didn’t like mountains. I know the Rockies are high but they aren’t Everest high. That flight had to land in Winnipeg to refuel so the delay was very long.

Okay. This is angering me.

First of all, “MAN”!?
We’re not in the nineteenth century FFS. There’s a better word and it is “Humans”.

And secondly - who the f£&k thought HUMANS only learned to control fire 50,000 years ago???!!!

Man made fire 350,000 years earlier than previously thought, discovery in Suffolk suggests
Groundbreaking find makes compelling case that humans were lighting fires much earlier than originally believed

Around this time four years ago we were on the wrong side of the last big atmospheric river that went through BC. Got stuck in Banff for 24 hours, fun, but by the time we made it to Kamloops we were stuck there for days. Then 12 hrs 🚘 through osoyoos & down & across to Seattle and back up to BC. 😮‍💨

Really enjoyed working on this - it's a fascinating look at the first right-wing efforts to undermine the BBC and their lasting effects on British broadcasting. Deeply concerning how familiar these campaigns still feel.
Today’s campaigns against the BBC, from Donald Trump to The Daily Telegraph, have a surprisingly long history.

In our latest article, David Nowell Smith explores how commercial rivalries inspired the first accusations of left-wing bias at the BBC.
