Discussing evidence for autoantibodies against nephrin as cause of diffuse podocytopathy.

Points out that toxins and drug induced podocytopathy (bisphosphonates) do not have anti-nephrin antibodies and do not respond to immunosuppression #GlomCon

Three lectures and they had time for two questions. I got boxed out. #GlomCon

I was goign to ask about the goal of stabilizing eGFR when we have shit tools for measuring GFR, especially in patients at high GFR where day to day changes in Cr can cause wild swings in eGFR.

Next up is a panel discussion of IgA case. Patien has IFTA and GFR of 38 in a young patient. She was started on budesonide and dapa and after 8 weeks the GFR is stable but proteinuria is largely unchanged. uPCR is 165 down from 180 (mg/mmol Cr) but no units provided maybe 2 grams in g/g?
