What pisses me off is that it's obviously ai slop. Humans can draw feet for their games nobody will buy that'll look way better than anything a computer could do.

The only way to do that would be to remove all AI features on the platform and ban AI from being used for videos at all. Generative AI is inherently slop, so all genAI needs to go.
YouTube says they're actively looking to reduce the spread of 'AI slop' videos

I'm thinking about that time a friend was playing Super Paper Mario on stream in a discord server I'm in and we all voice acted the scenes. as fun as it was to be O'Chunks, it really hurt my throat so I don't think I'll go as hard with an O'Chunks voice assuming I do one again in the future.

I'm excited because the sooner the AI bubble pops, the sooner we can actually look at "AI" logically and find uses for it worldwide that aren't stealing from writers and artists. Plus, it'll take a while after the fact, but RAM prices will go back down.

I feel like it's important to mention that the 'AI powered tools' they're referring to aren't generative AI, but instead the kind of thing we've colloquially called AI for the past 20-30 years in gaming.
Valve has recently rewritten the AI survey that developers must fill to describe and inform if their game includes any kind of generative AI.
What got people's attention is the new 'AI powered tools' (like code helpers) part as "Efficiency gains through the use of is not the focus of this section."

This shit is exactly why we need more "Anti-Nazi" content. Nazis were, are, and always will be the bad guys, and if people start thinking it's okay to support nazi ideology, then clearly a big mistake has been made at some point.

My two options for following the development of games right now are Elon's CP website or Discord, which seems intent on making it impossible for me to get the info on games I want. I'd love it if some of these games would move to ANY other platform so I could actually follow their development.

I also have this thing. 3D games don't work very well on it, but otherwise the thing is great for my purposes.
My new open source toy arrived! Also, the Chinese just don't give a fuck, this thing comes with basically almost all the ROMs you could think of for any of the emulated systems pre-installed 😅
