The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island — we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

Immigration is a fake problem. We have politicians on the one hand who want to use immigrants as scapegoats for our real ones and politicians on the other who are too cowardly to stand against them and tell the truth. That is the entire situation. Until that changes, people will continue to die.

one thing i did like abt the pjotv finale was thalia’s reunion with annabeth after she comes back. annabeth starting to cry when thalia recognizes her and tells her she’s grown was so :’’ i was like :] the whole time bc it reminded me of a post-som thalia fic i had been trying to write ages ago lol

I'm not sure where this idea comes from that ICE and Border Patrol couldn't hack it in the "real" military. The data does not support this; in fact both of these agencies recruit heavily from the military. A very large number of Border Patrol agents and Deportation Officers are former infantry.

ICE has only existed since 2003. A Bush-era creation, it is a militarized federal secret police that has been imbued with the Supreme Court with the unconstitutional power to ignore the fourth amendment.
