Congress abdicated its role as a separate and independent branch of government on January 20 while also relinquishing all oversight responsibility, so it’s entirely appropriate for Johnson to show that he has surrendered his gavel to the executive.

Court papers filed Wednesday state that Mr. Abrego Garcia was beaten, deprived of sleep, and subjected to psychological torture during the nearly three months he spent in Salvadoran custody. It is unacceptable to send people to other countries to be tortured!

Posted this on my threads account. Sharing it here because the anger and devastation I am feeling after almost 60 years of uplifting this country and my fellow citizens and our institutions is so overwhelming, and I feel nothing now other than contempt and betrayal.
