Could you buy something so we can pay for our Christmas packaging?

Thanks a mill.

No. It definitely exists. I'm still traumatised from my late mother's efforts to force feed it to me and my Dad - a man of Portarlington origin. Her other house speciality was tripe and onions. 🤮
My Low Stakes Conspiracy theory is that coddle doesn't exist outside of social media. I've lived in Dublin, known lots of native Dubs and coddle has never come up in real life. But on Irish twitter and then bluesky, you'd swear it was everywhere. So I've decided it's a long con

Great letter in today's Irish Times highlighting our government's absolute refusal to reflect the will of the majority of people here who want sanctions on apartheid Israel for its genocidal crimes against Palestinians. They promised they would enact the #OccupiedTerritoriesBill, where is it?

Just caught up with The Group Chat on +1 now and have to commend @newschambers.bsky.social for his comments on keeping a respectful space between journalists and politicians. Good to hear a discussion on an ethical approach to journalism expressed passionately and eloquently. We need it! #speirgorm

Hearing Connolly supporters were described as “MAGA like” on RTE. So we’re already at the ‘media blaming the voters for being too stupid to vote as they were told’ phase.

At the last minute, Simon Harris hinged FG's presidential hopes on the argument that "This country is not far left. This is a centrist country." So, now that the 'centrist' has been absolutely routed by 'far left' candidate... can we expect Simon Harris to reevaluate his idea of Ireland?

It’s all long over and done with in the first 25 minutes of counting.

A very comprehensive win for Catherine Connolly on the cards.

Questions now are quite how big the margin, the time of the count and how high the number of spoiled votes turns out to be.

HH looking to appoint more women, yet she ignored the fact that CC's campaign manager is a woman and insisted on at least two occasions that Paul Murphy was in that role. Hard to accept her assertion when she overlooked the woman who has managed an excellent campaign thus far. Well done Béibhinn.
