One of the things that has been on my to do list for a very long time, is building a gallery of all of the charts I've made across #TidyTuesday, #30DayChartChallenge, #30DayMapChallenge, and other miscellaneous projects 📊

And it's finally here!

Get Unstuck With Python:
Python dependency management is not pythonic but at least we have `uv` #rstats

Having tried it after some time with conda (first used in 2017), it feels like a CLI version of making R Studio projects - using Positron. 🐍 -> data eng’g, FTW

Writing the 2nd edition of my data science book has reminded me of this: Students don't struggle with advanced topics. They struggle with fundamentals explained too abstractly. Teaching requires empathy, not just expertise.

It's understandable to worry about, I suppose! I have an insider perspective, and I hope I can dispel some anxieties <3 Here's Jonathan McPherson on the question: youtu.be/1sROVZ83FNg?...

I'll try to share this clip around Bluesky! There are others, too.

🫣 A teachable moment about assumptions. #rstats

There are 133 variables...and I just wanted to jump into some new ones...🤠😅🤪

I just assumed that the quality code variable was a vector of integers, but it is, in fact, a factor ... as well as non-obviously ordered: reference link👇

Wrong! 🤷‍♂️

I get errors like “-@family must be NULL or character, not double” that I’ve never received before. Just wondering if it’s because it hasn’t been updated yet, or I have a USER issue.
