Maybe contrarian opinion about effects of AI:

as AI content becomes the norm on social sites, the ability to think and write in an authentic human voice will become much more valuable and sought after, not less.

Quite thought provoking read. I won't touch atlas for the reasons listed. But as much as it pains me to say, I think a lot of people don't care about make direct contact with websites, and this idea (not necessarily openAIs implementation) is going to be popular.

0 < ROI < 1 still means you get less back than you put in to build it.

This slide does not make me want to read the report.
New data on the corporate ROI from generative AI from a large-scale tracking survey by my colleagues at Wharton.

They found that 75% already have a positive return on investment from AI, less than 5% negative. Also 46% of businesses leaders use AI daily. knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/special-repo...

Liking this so far. Wondering if authors would like to be tagged when a post of one of their articles go up? Wouldn't be super tricky to add.

📣THREAD: It’s surprising to me that so many people were surprised to learn that Signal runs partly on AWS (something we can do because we use encryption to make sure no one but you–not AWS, not Signal, not anyone–can access your comms).

It’s also concerning. 1/
PSA: we're aware that Signal is down for some people. This appears to be related to a major AWS outage. Stand by.

Ok it's not going to be substack. It was, then it was pointed out to me that substack has a bit of a moderation problem.

blaze.email is moving completely over to @buttondown.com (first emails tomorrow) which honestly is better in just about every way.

It can't be called 'deportation' when the individual was born in, and is a citizen of that country. If you search for past examples of when countries expel their own citizens - that has a different name.
