We don’t have a functioning democracy when the people who lied to our faces to ‘get Brexit done’ are never held to account for the damage they’ve caused… and, worse still, are rewarded for life, for cynically or moronically selling our country out.

They deserve nothing but our contempt. Forever.
Toby Young, Matthew Elliott, Daniel Moylan, Claire Fox, Daniel Hannan, Michael Gove, Therese Coffey (a Brexit convert), Paul Goodman, John Moynihan, Ruth Lea, Stewart Jackson, Michael Hintze, Charles Moore, David Frost, Theo Agnew; & now John Redwood.

Rewarded for the Brexit calamity with peerages.
Ex Tory MP John Redwood has been made a peer, as Lord Redwood on 31 January, and was formally introduced in the Lords on Tuesday

Pathetic Starmer #c4news #PMQs
"I delivered a landslide victory!"
Such boasting does him no favours and fools nobody. WE - the people - booted out the revolting, useless and corrupt Tories. Starmer got fewer votes than the Corbyn/McDonnell leadership. YOU - the prime minister - should thank us.

"Morgan McSweeney helped me to change the Labour party" says Starmer #PMQs
Yes, and there lies the problem: in collaboration with Mandelson McS produced a list of all the left of centre Labour MPs whom they then marginalised & dumped.
Starmer & McSweeney are fully exposed by the Mandelson affair.

Starmer is boasting that McSweeney helped him to "change the Labour party" #PMQs
Yes indeed - by bringing back Mandelson, excluding left wing candidates, booting out left wing MPs. He's in a hole and still digging. No awareness, no credit to the people of Britain - not HIM - for booting out Tories.

It’s a serious criminal offence to conspire to remove a UK Prime Minister

Meanwhile, let’s have a look at Steve Bannon’s well documented and ultimately successful attempts to remove Theresa May (with Epstein’s support) from 2018-19

Great that people are noting Epstein’s role as a classic ‘disaster capitalist’ along with Paul Marshall and Crispin Odey.

Yes, fiscal rules are entirely dreamt up by the Chancellor and have no real value. This country has a FIAT currency, and the government could use the BoE to transform our society, but they are too timid.

Again, we should not be subservient to the bond markets. Let them whine and complain.

Spot on Tim. It's possible Starmer did and still does have those pledges in his heart & soul. It's also possible McSweeney and Mandelson encouraged him to make them in order to win the leadership vote. And it's possible they and Reeves told him to ditch them as soon as he became PM. "Bond markets"!

Apart from kiss Peter Mandelson via his many messages on WhatsApp? He's now breaking free from the clutches of his longtime mentor Mandelson. He sees the need to distance himself, obviously. Always a pragmatist, dear Wes. Always "on manoeuvres".
