This article is for eastern Canada high speed rail but can just as easily be used in Alberta for HSR between Edmonton and Calgary or the Banff to Calgary in the hopefully soon to be released Passenger Rail master Plan. #alberta #yeg #ycc #banff #albertarail
I've done something that I don't do very often. I wrote a short, quick polemic post. It was prompted by a discussion in here.

It's about why I'm still skeptical about ALTO's HSR project and why there is no way around transparency in public projects.

Who knew compressed air could be used as an energy storage? This is so cool, and another example is that climate change will be challenged by many different technologies as well as giving the earth a chance to recuperate. #energystorage #canada www.bbc.com/future/artic...

I’m a bit perplexed. Alberta announces a goal to have a pipeline to tidewater but with no private company’s confirmed to jump on the Canadian govt major projects list. Yet EllisDon has a much further advanced HSR project between Edmonton and Calgary and nothing. Frustrating. #yeg #yyc #hsr

This can also be applied to Alberta HSR and if the rails start being manufactured in Canada, CN and CPKS could potentially be buyers for replacement rails.
