Labour always left to clear up a Tory mess, meaning bad times, meaning Tories get voted back to make another mess...

A similar pattern in the US with Democrats taking that role.

A powerful right wing media hides that reality.

The Tories have always borrowed more than Labour, and always repaid less: they are the party of big deficit spending
It is often suggested that Labour is profligate and the Tories are the naturally ‘safe pair of hands’ when it comes to running the economy. The Tories, it is presumed, do not borrow as much as Labour....

Musk’s latest intervention is objectively hilarious but the problem of a hideous human using his enormous wealth & power to promote lies & liars in the U.K., despite having no links to or other interest in the country, remains acute.

I have no idea why Prince William is sitting down with a rapist and convicted felon. I don’t give a single shit he’s a working Royal. When men sit down with rapists and smile for cameras you’re normalising rape.

This is Jeremy Clarkson, who’s used Clarkson’s Farm to vilify badgers as scapegoats for bTB and has allegedly wiped them out on his own farm.

He’d hate it if people ‘RT'd’ this and signed the petition to end the Badger cull..

Not jumping on a bandwagon but I have never liked the look of GW. Insincere grin mixed with a scowl. Determined to make food competitive. It is only important when you don’t have any.

So it turns out they spent £715 million on sending a grand total of FOUR volunteers to Rwanda.

For comparison, this is more than you could expect to spend on building an entire brand new hospital in the UK
In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

Kemi Badenoch at #PMQs: "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards."

Here are the tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall in March this year. They were protesting - you really couldn't make this up - Badenoch's trade policies. 😂

Watching Sky News, not good but lesser of two evils maybe. At least Mark Austin’s expression after Musk item shows some “reservations” . I like him. @mrjamesob.bsky.social

Tories just keep on lying!
Left: Helen Whately, "We handed over to Labour much lower debt than we had inherited"

Right: Peter Kyle, "There are facts in public debate.. Debt was £800 billion in 2010, it was £2.6 trillion in 2024"

If you're interviewing a Trump apologist in the UK media/politics sphere, don't ask about trade, tariffs or even NATO *until* you've asked about the coup attemt, the sex offending & the felonies. These people claim to care about all the things that Trump denigrates daily. Call them out on it.

Sir Tom wrote a book which he said was to raise funds for the NHS.

He died, his daughter made herself head of his charity, and gave the entire £1.47m raised to herself.

We really should be talking about prison.

Very interesting to note the selective reporting the BBC & established press continues to engage in...

I don't remember this level of scrutiny of Boris Johnson, a man who had lied as a journalist, and then made a number of misleading statements, and told lies, as PM.
