Four years ago, #Baltimore Co Inspector General Kelly Madigan and then-chief of staff Patrick Murray met at the Bun Shop for what could be the most expensive breakfast in #Baltimore County history. Taxpayer tab: $190,000. County got judge to seal case. We explain!

This isn’t Carroll County specific, but it needs to be everywhere rtfn because everything this tyrant does impacts Carroll County. Chicago, #mdindivisible stands with you. Carroll County stands with Baltimore. #keepbmorefree And we stand with DC #freedc

We will remember this.
How is this not a screaming massive headline across every news site? This is insane, a virtual declaration of civil war. We fought a revolution to not be subjected to this kind of tyranny

People keep getting sick in this jail. Baltimore County says that's normal.
Dr. Kunchok Dorjee‚ an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, said that numerous reports of infections and symptoms coming from one setting is a clear “red flag.”

Many questions remain despite the Baltimore County Council voting Monday. The hardest question to answer is why interim Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier wanted to explore a change in the first place.

As a power grab in Baltimore County and events unfolding in Anne Arundel show, creating and maintaining an independent IG is a constant struggle. That doesn’t explain why there aren’t more of them in Maryland.

Inspectors general save taxpayers millions. Maryland needs more of them.
OIG is an acronym that should cheer advocates of good government. But only a handful of the biggest Maryland counties and cities have them -- inspectors general.

NOT TRUE! Interim County Exec Klausmeier nominated Ms. Walker. In order for Walker to assume the role of IG, the Charter requires that she qualify. Qualification = Council Approval. Current IG Kelly Madigan continues as IG until someone else qualifies.
