Been meaning to play Digimon games for ages (as a huge Tamers fan), and the way @redangelx3.bsky.social talks about this one makes me want to give it a go.

I'm not the kind of person who hates everything Final Fantasy has put out since X or anything, but I do hope the success of games like Metaphor: ReFantazio and Clair Obscur encourages the series to try turn-based combat again. I do kinda miss it.

I'm still in the process of the final fight of FFVII Rebirth (finally), but

I fucking hate this. I'm flabbergasted just how wildly they've missed the mark here. I expected them to pull some nonsense, but I didn't expect them to dramatically botch the most important moment of the whole damn story.

Well that's... sorta devastating. A lot of the best gaming content was made there, from insightful articles to hilarious videos. I hate how games media is being dismantled like this.

Heartfelt thanks and sorrow to the people affected. Y'all deserved better. ❤️

I'm telling you all to go see The Legend of Ochi. It was delightful. Felt out of time, like an old VHS I'd have found lying around. Really magical experience, I loved it.

Heyyyyy maybe the animated category will actually have real winners now instead of just, "I didn't watch that kiddie shit, just check the Disney one."
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced a new rule this week that most filmgoers might’ve already assumed was in place: From now on, members of the academy will be required to actually watch all the nominated films in each category they vote in.
A New Requirement for Oscar Voters: They Must Actually Watch the Films
The new rule, announced this week by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, was greeted with laughter and disbelief that it had not been required all along.

New Devil May Cry show is pretty good? Fun time, until it's kinda heartbreaking and surprisingly political and timely. Enjoyed it.

I didn't think I'd be the type to like Blue Prince, but damn if I'm not 20 hours and 60 pages of notes in and having an absolute blast.

I thought the note-taking would be tedious & obtuse, but the feeling of finally realizing the key to a bunch of random things you've been noting is second to none.

FINALLY finished Final Fantasy XVI, and...

Man. I like a lot about this game. I like a lot about what it's trying to do. I just wish it came together better in the end. Won't go into spoilers, but the whole ending fell pretty flat for me. Didn't feel like it had a solid grasp on what it was about.

Whenever I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV with my spouse, and I come across a character whose name could be misconstrued and forced into a silly sentence, I do it. It gets me a groan (and occasionally a laugh).
What's the worst joke you're committed to? Mine is to say 'thank god you're charging more for that. Every year, thousands die drilling those little holes' whenever website tries to upsell me more memory on some form of device. A joke that a) isn't funny b) no-one but me can hear.

Didn't expect them to just sorta drop "Silksong releasing this year" as a little blip in the upcoming games clipshow, but hey! I'll take it!!

Well. I'll take a little bit of hope where I can get it.

I made a visual novel for NaNoRenO 2025! It's a sci-fi romance (with polyamory as an option) about fleeing a fascist star system with three other fugitives.

There are still scenes and systems I'd like to add, but it's playable beginning to end!

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews on games along the lines of “this isn’t exactly what I wanted, even though it was exactly what was promised”.

I can’t overstate how much more joy you will have if you allow art to unfurl in front of you, instead of demanding it be what you imagine you want.

I'm very down for a new Tomodachi life game.

Just want Silksong more. 😖

I love all of SuperGiant's games and Pyre being their least popular is criminal because it is by and large the most unique (and easily my favorite). It's a lot of reading but it is so worth it, with a lot of cool, very impactful choices and a ""combat"" system of ritualistic basketball it is so cool
Pyre is $3.99 on GOG buff.ly/L2IYoia

You're telling me we finally get a Madoka Magica game, and instead of a choice-based narrative-centric adventure game or RPG where you are constantly tempted by Kyubey's offers of power it's a FUCKING GACHA GAME

Can we please make "Do You Hear the People Sing" the official song of anti-Trump protests? People who embody the very forces Les Mis criticizes should not have the privilege of enjoying it.
President Trump on Monday visited the Kennedy Center in Washington for the first time since he made himself the new chairman. He had harsh words for "Hamilton," which canceled a planned tour there after his takeover, but seemed excited about a long-planned "Les Misérables." nyti.ms/4bZfX2U
