And this is a real shame as well because a lot of young scientists really hone their acumen in these roles.
Old friend just laid off by USDA, 1 mos short of his probationary period as senior researcher. Brilliant person who left a tenured faculty position several yrs ago to join USDA. Bright early-career researchers also being laid off. USDA is terminating a generation of highly-qualified scientists.

You know I've said this to because how you gonna deny my debit card if I try to purchase something over the amount in my account but be like oh this bill is crediting, let's let it go negative and charge a fee on top of it , like just diabolical.
