Undergraduate student in Genomic Sciences at #LCG-UNAM 🧬🇲🇽.
I am interested in immunology 🛡️, neuroscience 🧠 and machine learning 👨🏻‍💻.
It was a real pleasure to meet Dr. @jazminrm.bsky.social during the #FrontiersInGenomics program at #LCG-UNAM!
I truly appreciate everything she shared with us about maize domestication 🌽 and life in science 🔬!

A month ago we presented our work at the XXVI National Congress of Immunology in Chihuahua, Mexico 🇲🇽, organized by @sminmunologia.bsky.social. It has been wonderful to share what we have learned about sialomucin CD43 🧬 in erythroid differentiation 🩸!

Our new work is now out in AJHG "Natural selection acting on complex traits hampers the predictive accuracy of polygenic scores in ancient samples." Great collaboration with @delvecchyo.bsky.social and Emilia Huerta-Sanchez, led by Valeria Añorve-Garibay.

Axolotls have been important in Mexican culture since Aztec’s time. They’re named after the god Xolotl (monsters, fire, lightning). This amazing species is critically endangered in the wild, as it’s habitat is disappearing in Mexico City. Today is national Axolotl day! 🧪🐸🌎🇲🇽

Single-cell RNA sequencing is very important when studying gene expression. I found scDotPlot package developed by @laufer.bsky.social, and I think it could be a very useful tool to analyze and plot scRNA-seq data using R.
