A good friend w new baby girl asked me: “How worried should we be about #measles in #Alberta?”

My response:
“We now have a ~2-3 week doubling time and just at inflection point of real exponential growth. We have uncontrolled community spread, Vax rates of ~40% in S. #AB and only ~70% in #YYC…”

The UCP’s incompetent response to the measles outbreak has been a complete failure.

Alberta’s case count has tripled in May. South of the border, states with a similar population to ours are reporting case counts in the single digits, or no cases at all.
