in general i think the desire to constantly be accommodating of player shipping (which can often go as far as being threatened by characters having Any Relationship At All that is not established to be acceptably Canonically Familial enough, especially m/f ones) is really bad for character writing

7.4 spoilers// actually my first thought upon finding out Green Au Ra was halmarut was "oh my god, a moe ascian", and my second thought was "well, no, hades was also pretty moe" and hermes definitely was so i guess she's just following in tradition
