i keep looking at the very last panel and thinking ah... something has changed... this really is the starting line for a new future, where kyouji is stripped of his mask and has no choice but to give that hug. satomi is leading the way. satomi will drag you out of hell no matter what
kyouji, i'm also proud of you. you shared a story from your childhood and almost risked it all for what amounts to pocket change to you, but was everything to satomi. you didn't hug back because you were scared to show how soft you've become. but you're loved, even if you didn't look in time today

look, you know me, you know what i write. no matter what my fantasies were, i think wym has delivered the only ending that really fits every scenario. it's what you want it to be. it's harder to write this kind of quiet, bittersweet ending than write a happy ever after OR a breakup

well i knew it was coming but that doesn't make it easier to bear. there are lots of things that left me unsatisfied but would be very very welcome if we knew there was more coming after this. as things stand, it doesn't feel like an ending. maybe that's the point
