everyone loves to say how you should reach out if you are struggling, but the reality is when you are in that mindset you already feel isolated like nobody cares about you. we as a society need to do better noticing when our friends are struggling and reach out to THEM, not the other way around

If your phone is distracting you from anything, it's the maybe 10 minutes it would take to turn notifications off. You can still turn notifications off. If that ever changes, that will be a whole new thing, but it hasn't happened yet.
