It's November! Time for the 6th annual #LyricsPrompt!

If you don't want your feed clogged with excellent music, please mute this hashtag for the month.

Here's how it works 👇

If you've followed me after December 1, 2024, you should be aware that in November each year, I host #LyricsPrompt, where I post a word each day & folks reply with a song that the word evokes. I repost these replies, which means I end up posting a LOT.

Join in—or mute the hashtag if it's too much!
Heads-up that I'm pausing the #CanCon thread over November, when I'm hosting #LyricsPrompt.

(I'm sure most of my #LyricsPrompt posts will be CanCon anyway.)

I am thoroughly surprised by this! @merriam-webster.com, even Green Day was in on “Dookie” 31 years ago. We look forward to When (You) Come Around! 📖
A'ight—I think we have to get the band back together, because this cannot stand. We (politely) mobbed @merriam-webster.com into adding "pube"; surely we can do it again for "dookie."

Albertans, if you’re not ok with how provincial dollars are being spent, now would be the time to get in touch with your MLA, the education minister, and the premier. Use your voice and speak up.

Going to pick my child up from school for the last time until who knows when. My heart is so, so heavy today.

Come on, Alberta. Our teachers and students need you to get loud. Support our public school system. Stand up for learning. Stand up for better.

This Sunday, on World Teachers' Day, we're gathering to fight for public education. Please join us and get loud for our teachers and students.

📍In Edmonton at the Alberta Legislature at 11:30 AM
📍In Calgary at McDougall Centre at 3:00 PM

Thank you for your support.

Money for this but no money to support public education, which would negate the need for additional child care to begin with.

Keep your money and fund our public school system.

(We just want more than the 11 people who said they were interested on FB.)
