The US attack on Venezuela is plainly illegal; it violates the UN Charter, there was no Congressional approval, and there was clearly no immediate threat justifying action in self-defence. It will now be used as post-hoc justification for imperialist regimes around the world.

I guess Trump forgot “conveniently” about the TIAR treaty, which came after WWII, and was a remediation of the Monroe Doctrine.
