They're not a bit serious about talking about, facing and doing the hard vote-risking work of reducing the harms climate change is already causing.
Akin to how they aren't addressing the issues described in the other 59 reports in their drawers.
The Albanese government has sat for more than three years on the climate risk assessment it commissioned from the ONI. All attempts to use FOI and parliamentary procedures to access the documents have been unsuccessful. satpa.pe/corZhNG
Government continues to withhold climate risk report
As allies share their national risk assessments for climate breakdown, the Albanese government refuses to release its ‘frankly terrifying’ report from 2022.

The Liberal's death spiral began in 2007 when Howard lost govt & his own seat & Costello piked out. Between 2013 & 2019 they were on life support, with News Corp operating the defibrillator. Morrison & esp Dutton proved they had lost all relevance. With Ley and Taylor we've entered the zombie era.

What defines a ‘progressive’ inside the Liberal Party? Someone who favours the cat’o’7 tails over nine? Pulls only one wing off butterflies? Wants us to go back to 1958 instead of 1948? It’s a fight for the Angry Old White Man vote.

If Chris Minns genuinely cares about community safety, Mal Lanyon must be sacked. #NSWPolice

As Guy Rundle frequently observes, the majority of Australians are now knowledge class small ‘l’ liberals concerned at widening inequality, climate change, housing affordability and our grovelling to a failed US state. So why are the ALP, Libs, Nats and One Nation all competing for the cooker vote?
