People don’t know know what’s in this bill because the opposition strategy is apparently to use its passage as something to campaign against.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Speaking on the floor for a long time is great…. in the old media environment. In the very online decentralized media environment of 2025 this speech / stunt generates headlines for 1 day, and most people won’t even know it happened.

Really enjoying the 3 episode per week release schedule of Andor, and now Iron Heart.
I like Iron Heart, it’s just sad that this is over with next weeks episodes. Marvel needs to stick to a 12 or 18 episode season structure.
