NYT leaned (very) heavily into op-ed culture ten years ago which worked to demolish their reputation for unbiased journalism. Four years of anti-Trump essays sold lots of subscriptions, but the result is that half of the country now thinks "journalism" is using big words to dunk on the opposition.
Trump wants to spin his own reality, Republican operatives want to spin their own reality, that’s their job of course they will. The issue is we no longer have a media that is either trusted or interested in doing their most important job which is to say “this is actual reality”

I remember when I first learned what png was. I was so snobby about it, I would literally scoff at jpegs. Even today, many years later, I'll pick it even when there's zero upside to doing so.

Using an invite-only Bluesky thread as a source for an article is an interesting technique.
So far I've submitted two bug reports using the "feedback" google doc, but I'm curious if there's a better way to do this. One of them is an auth bug, and while not super urgent, I didn't want it to risk it ending up in a voidy pile.
