We cannot believe one single word from our government. Nothing they say is real.

Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."

"The government has also argued that I must accept this as true because they said it, and they are the government."

these are words from a very conservative, very CATHOLIC judge, someone with an extremely similar background to (indeed, she basically filled his Notre Dame faculty position) ACB.
Apologies, wrong link in the first post (there are two letters).

Correct link here: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I suggest reading in full…it’s really something. The judge, by the way, is a Bush appointee and two-time Scalia clerk.

The flip side is that if they don't arrest them and show they're consequences, they will keep doing it.
I know some people expect the local police to just start arresting ICE and I absolutely agree there's ground for it but know, those agents are cowardly and will shoot; even at local police. And once that happens, there's no going back.

Eventually ICE will begin shooting at local police. A government giving them carte blanche is so stupid
Minneapolis Police Chief O'Hara: "The video speaks for itself. We have identified this person - 37-year-old, white male, resident of the city. The only interaction that we are aware of with law enforcement has been for traffic tickets and we believe he is a lawfully gun owner with a permit to carry"

This is an evil and Godless country. And it's that because the people in power love to use God as an excuse for their evil and violence. Showcasing that in their hearts they actually hate God.

They loudest ones joined ICE
Interesting how all the gun rights absolutism melts away in defense of federal death squads -- who are allegedly the reason for gun rights absolutism.
Early DHS spin (via Fox News) is that the person shot repeatedly by Border Patrol officers in Minneapolis was armed -- note that open carrying firearms is legal with a permit and notably, they are not (yet at least) claiming that the person fired or even brandished a gun, just had one.

So the “everyone should be armed” second amendment crowd is using the fact the a man was armed (maybe) as justification?

Is this right?

Chicago Police operated black sites, LASD has deputy gangs, LAPD had its deadliest year of police shootings last year, LAPD got more crowd control training after 2020 and were the more efficient with their violence at last year’s protests, etc. Local/state police are less blatant w/ their misconduct
Jumping in here to point out that most police departments have training that is far more rigorous and rates of use of force that are far far lower than ICE and the CPB. This *isn’t* policing. IMO: It would behoove if folks didn’t conflate them.

The retort back then was “well more white people are killed than anybody by cops!”

Brother, if you dont see the insanity of that statement as a COMEBACK to this movement, I cannot help you.
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

Jesus was a "criminal" in the eyes of religious leaders and people, so they executed him.

The fact that these same ICE agents who are executing Americans will proclaim faith in that same Jesus is the cruelest irony of all.

We're at a breaking point
The Star Tribune reports that federal agents "attempted to order local police from the scene" where a man was shot and killed by feds this morning, but Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara refused and "instructed his officers to preserve the scene."
Live: Man shot and killed by federal agents in south Minneapolis this morning, police chief says
A video appears to shows federal agents wrestling a man to the ground then shooting him.

Trumpers are attempting to systematically nullify the authority of Minnesota law enforcement agencies. That is a blatant violation of the Constitution, and specifically of the 10th Amendment.

All of this is fucking senseless. Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs here because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames. None. Of. This. Was. Necessary.

It's illegal but they're federal agents and now federal prosecutor will go after them because of fear from the admin
Can anybody tell us just what gives ICE the authority to break open the window of a car? They certainly have no warrant. They are not looking or a specific person. They aren's brown skinned, or speaking a foreign language.

WHAT MAKES THIS LEGAL??????

Why has this NEVER been legal before ever?
