Would you normally engage with a 12-year-old shitposter? No?

Then don't engage with the one running the White House account. Block and move on.
Unblocked the White House account for a sec just to check activity, and boy is it active. People earnestly replying to obvious trolling, why.

New, from me:
America is no longer a functioning democracy. It is a competitive authoritarian system, hurtling rapidly toward authoritarianism.
This was a hard piece to write but we can't move forward if we don’t acknowledge where we are.

I wonder—does Pam Bondi still believe there’s “no legal basis” for people named in the Epstein files to keep it private?

RFS early reader book idea: After noticing an injustice in her Kindergarten classroom, and indifference from the school administration, this hero decides she can effectuate change herself!
It’s amazing how many kids’ picture books seem to get published without anyone ever once reading them out loud. Just total meter/rhythm fails.

Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

Maybe time to use median instead of mean?
This race single-handedly boosted Dems' overperformance in special elections from +12.0 this year all the way to +15.6 ... but that's precisely why we average everything together. We're not gonna start hand-picking races to exclude—we will let the law of averages handle this one.
