What a time to be alive
Rick Scott: "This is the start of changing Venezuela, then we're gonna fix Cuba, Nicaragua will get fixed, next year we'll get a new president in Colombia. Democracy is coming back to this hemisphere."

Until last year I would define the univ as AI curious. Thats no longer the case. It is not yet open opposition, but it is a much more suspicious stance

One thing about BC and other catholic schools is that, since the pope came out against AI, they became publicly and privately much more cautious
Seeking a university that isn’t run by admins fawning over AI (who admit to not understand it themselves) for a wonderful HS graduate, well-rounded, top grades, and can make a phone call. The teaching of research skills and complex literacies a plus. Can travel.

There's always one detail that will crack your heart entirely open.
"Friedberg visited Rhode Island Hospital on Saturday night, where she said she spoke with her teaching assistant, who had traveled there to support several of their injured students." Wow, the TA was present at the shooting and then went with students in the class to hospital to support.

Eles querem. Não é possível.

TRUMP [after spending 5 minutes with Zohran]: surplus value, it’s a very wonderful thing, very wonderful, and they’re stealing it. Can you believe that?

We’re going to be looking very strongly at the bourgeoisie, what they’re up to

Also it is remarkable that the man left the presidency in 2006 for saying dumb shit and 5years LATER was promoted to university professor

Step 2 in the dominguez saga. Immediate leave.

Retirement is 3, termination without emeritus status is 4, banned from campus and fired is 5

Also very surprised by the statement that he is teaching FIVE courses this semester. That’s a two year load.

Strong Dominguez vibe for those who were there. Expectation that one can lay low and it will pass was misguided then and hopefully is misguided now.
