Just watched the first episode of Death by Lightning on Netflix abt how James Garfield accidentally became a presidential nominee. The whole show is so well done. The props dept appeared to have a great time. The acting is fantastic.

Death by Lightning was great. Historically on point w/o feeling heavy. The use of anachronistic language aka F bombs was a nice touch. Acting was excellent. Wild to think Americans know little about the assasination that ended the spoils system. Highest praise: I’d show it in #history class. #tvsky

I rarely say this about Netflix shows anymore but this was actually... pretty good!!
A very fun take on a lesser known moment in history. Lots of surprisingly good performances from the cast all around. A very nice looking show as well. Minor quibbles with some parts but its fine.
