The elite assumed someone else was going to step up and take care of it. People on the ground tried to hold the line but the elite let them burn. The elite thought they had no connection to the people on the ground, but they learned they were wrong when suddenly the fire came for them, too.
Everything is relational. This guy has a common sense idea that everyone pretty much understood 30 years ago, but today he seems like a stone cold intellectual genius.
People can’t seem to wrap their heads around the idea that the founders were flawed men who did bad things who nonetheless had great ideas and ideals that they didn’t live up to — which then inspired future generations to make us live up to those standards.

It’s going to be so embarrassing when the administration eliminates the cause of autism and then people are still having autism. And then the administration tells parents their kids cannot possibly have autism because the cause was eliminated.
