Helping raise my nephew has taught me that there's no such thing as a lesson that makes sense only in the future. If it doesn't make sense now, then you aren't teaching it right.

Tried to pin down the owners of a nightclub for an article interview and they asked me to send the questions in so they just deliver the answers. Turns out they handed the questions over to an intern who used ChatGPT to answer the questions. There's nothing quotable in there. Frustrating.

After my breakup, I'm out here looking for podcasts from the (hopefully black) male perspective that talk about emotional part of self-improvement and all I'm getting is white alpha male content. It's a pandemic, man.

I'm absentmindedly doodling while reading and I ended up recreating this from my childhood. We used to draw it on the floor with chalk/charcoal/stone. Then we'd place ten pieces (normally it was little stones vs palm kernels) each on the corners. Played very similarly to draughts/checkers.

The Because She Can Mentorship Program is a 12-week intensive mentorship program for girls/women who need guidance and support on their tech journeys. Our first cohort enabled a number of our mentees build their their technical skills, work on projects and portfolios as well as land internships.

This new job's got me feeling really unskilled. And I'm learning that despite my infinite patience for many other things, I have very little patience for learning new things. I need to work through that.

Many of my daydreams involve thinking up solutions to our problems as a country. It's as if one of the running themes in my dreams are "What would I do differently if I was president." I'm always content with letting my mind wander as far as possible.
