That ship has sailed. We are at war. Ukraine is our proxy, until it morphs into a member of the EU and takes part in a European security guarantee that succeeds NATO. Yes, succeeds.
For Western European leaders, avoiding direct military conflict with Russia matters more than ensuring Ukraine’s survival.
