You do not get absolution for doing the minimum. Absolution is A CHOICE by those whom you have harmed, which they DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE YOU. If you have any moral character worth speaking of, you still do the work ANYWAYS, because people of good character learn from their mistakes without prompting.
