This has been a fun side obsession for me. Cataloging and organizing niche games feels like treasure hunting. This whole process has made me really appreciate the work of curation. This year hoping for some collaborations with writers, artists, devs, researches, and curators.

This was one of my favourite games of the year. Highly recommend you check it out if you love games like Halo:CE and Half Life 2. Incredible level design and world building. It's also very short which is a big plus for me personally. Happy to see that this game is getting lots of praise.

After a lot of fine tuning, I got dynamic water interaction simulation working for a scene. The low camera angle adds a lot.

Went to elementary school, junior high, and highschool music club performance showcase in my local area. There was one performance that was a mix of krumping and bollywood dance with these Dune looking costumes. Couldn't help but jump out of my seat and cheer loudly at the end. So talented.

What would it take to intentionally make a game that is 2TB (or more) in size? Like the size being a commentary on bloated game development. Do game engines allow an export of that size? Do digital marketplaces let you host something that large?

a game being recognized for its artistic merit, and celebrated as art, does not protect it from storefront censorship. we should stop fooling ourselves into thinking that storefronts view games as art. games are products & services to them. as long as monopolies exist we’re held back as an artform.
