In Tommy Tuberville's home state of Alabama, 23% of all personal income comes from transfer payments from the federal government.

Alabama is the tenth most dependent on federal funding, getting $1.80 in spending back for every $1 its citizens pay in taxes.

Tuberville says ‘inner city rats’ live off the American taxpayers: Trump should send them ‘back home’
"These inner city rats, they live on the federal government," Tuberville said in the interview.

I mean, the ridiculous bit is how often Stephen Miller and MAGA folks focused on getting universal injunctions against Biden. So I'm assuming this is going to be another one of these "well it only applies during GOP presidency" type SCOTUS rulings.
🚨By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court rules that universal injunctions likely exceed federal courts' authority and rolls back the injunctions protecting birthright citizenship from Trump's attack. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

Again, I’d like to encourage the people who think it’s a good idea to embrace a cruel and capricious dictatorship, while making it clear no legal or legislative authority can stop them from ruining ordinary people’s lives, to keep on reading to see what usually happens next.

So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there's one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?

We're rotten fruit
We're damaged goods
What the hell, we've got nothing more to lose
One gust and we will probably crumble
We're backdrifters

You fell into our arms
You fell into our arms
We tried but there was nothing we could do
Nothing we could do

I voted for Trump. When he said he was going to let Elon do DOGE, I didn't know that he meant he was going to let Elon destroy the FAA and make me die a fiery death in an unregulated self-flying plane.

This Cybertruck did not crash. It made a heartfelt and perhaps ill-advised gesture that, in the moment, might have been misinterpreted as a crash, but we should not rush to judgement.

"'Patriot' sometimes reads like a thriller in which the narrative opens with 'If you’re reading this, I’m already dead.'" And so he is, but he speaks from beyond the grave, and we should listen.

All the big tech CEOs are problematic but Zuck in particular is fucked up because he's never had a real job. Tim Cook had a whole career before Apple. Bezos had a few different jobs. Even Larry and Sergei at least had internships and got degrees. Zuck has never had to listen to anyone else.

I like the bit about Trump running the country like one of his businesses. So essentially there will be lots of unpaid subcontractors, shitty products, lots of self-dealing for the top brass and a 50/50 shot at bankruptcy. Sounds about right.

Your stinking industrial bathwater, my wine

How will you bridge the gap
Between your endless buffet
And the empty plate I have?
