Parts of my current research includes the US eugenics movement. It is eerie how certain discourses keep repeating themselves. Humanities research is vital.
Look, I love these sites & I get how politics works & why they're doing it, but every single one makes exactly the same error universities have been making for years:
Research DOES NOT JUST MEAN STEM.
Look around. If you think we also don't need social science & humanities research, look harder.

The UK Supreme Court basically declared all cis women are essentially just our uteruses today and the foolish bigots who are celebrating this are so far removed from reality that they don’t realise how this will be weaponised against us all.

How do we preserve lost histories? Swilk’s installation at the Internet Archive made the digital physical. Textiles pulsed & breathed when users accessed archived HIV/AIDS resources, many altered or gone from the live web.

I am really struggling with getting work done recently. It is Norooz on Thursday, so I tell myself that's the reason. You know, like I should have a break but I really don't so... But I think it's a bit more than that. It is just hard to work with no specific end in sight. 1

Certain things make you re-evaluate yourself and your character more actively. This applying to jobs and postdocs and the subsequent wait era of my life has made me realize that I am not very patient and that I may or may not have a little Veruca Salt in me. 😁
